International Night

International Night 2018

The FCEPTA is gearing up for our fun-filled and educational International Night which will take place on December 1st, from 6:30-8:00 pm at TJ Elementary. Students travel to 25+ countries (in the TJ gym), watch cultural performances, sample foods from around the world, and explore the global roots and rich cultural traditions of our school community. Last year we had record breaking attendance with more than 500 visitors!  We hope to make this year’s event just as successful, but we need your help.

We have an immediate need for the following volunteers:

Student or parent performers whose art/skill/hobby fits in with the theme of International Night.

One parent volunteer to act as Stage Manager for the cultural performances.

Families who have connections with local restaurants and are willing to contact the restaurant on behalf of International Night to request food donations (with the help of our Food Donations Coordinator, Meredith Donnelly).

Families who would like to contribute food items to our Food of the World tasting table by bringing a homemade dish to share on the evening of the event.

Beyond the volunteer positions listed above, there are multiple small volunteer jobs that need to be done during the week before and the evening of International Night.  To see the complete list and to volunteer for these smaller yet vital roles, please use this Sign-Up Genius link:

We hope to see you on December 1st!  Questions?  Contact Katie Adams at ; Kelley Wolfe at; Meredith Donnelly at (food donations);  or Carol Felderman at (performances)
